January 2003 sees a change in the focus of our group. For three years Judy Gough has taught us fortnightly and latterly monthly, and we now feel able to carry on and develop our abstract art group alone. As no-one knew anything much of modern art 3 years ago, this new start reflects the good teaching which we have received from Judy, who became our friend and enjoyed teaching us. The "Old Stagers" among us meet monthly-about the middle Wednesday morning in the month, and a small group of absolute beginners (complete non-painters) will spend a few weeks with Vivienne before joining the "old" group when they feel that they would like to. There will be a couple of vacancies for this group in the Summer or Autumn depending how we get on, but at present these two groups will remain the same. These groups will continue to meet at the home of Alan and Vivienne Stokes.
