This game was invented by the Chinese hundreds of years ago. In recent years it has spread to the Western World and is becoming popular. This group follows the Max Robertson's book. At first the game appears complicated but once the rules have been mastered it is very easy To play the game one need a Mah Jong set, four racks and a card table. A Mah Jong set is made up of 4 of 144 pieces known as "TILES". The object of the game is to get a Mah Jong hand - there are 41 different ones.It may take some time to memorize the tiles and the different hands but once this is done, the game is very enjoyable. As one plays for oneself it is relaxing and usually good fun The game is played by four people but can be played by three or even two but four is preferable. |
